Oakridge Animal Clinic is made up of a team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians (RVT), veterinary assistants and staff that are focused on making you and your pet feel comfortable each time you visit. Collectively our veterinarians have over 75 years of experience and range from seasoned veterans to recent graduates. Most of our veterinary support team have been with us for over a decade each.
All of us are dedicated pet owners. Our “best friends” include dogs, cats, fish and birds. Some of us compete with our dogs and all of us consider them family. Many of us have adopted abandoned or rescued pets ranging from one-eyed kittens and three-legged felines to ankle high Dachshunds and Great Danes.
From the ‘pee post’ on our front lawn to the fishpond that borders our walkway, right through the front door into our reception, we’ve designed the clinic to make it convenient and stress-free.
We offer veterinarian formula foods for cats and dogs as well as exotics. Our team members feed their own pets and recommend Hills Prescription Diets, as well as Orijen Dog and Cat foods. Hills Prescription Diets are 100% balanced, high quality foods made with your pet’s health in mind. Orijen diets are Canadian made award winning, biologically appropriate foods that are protein-rich and carbohydrate-limited and grain-free. Oxbow organic diets both hay and pellets are available for exotics including rabbits and guinea pigs. Harrison bird diets are available on special order.
Many skin allergies and digestive conditions are due to or influenced by diet and a veterinarian formula can manage symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea scratching, hot spots, eye and ear irritations, etc. Ask our vets about what would be best for the life-stage and medical condition of your pet.
