The mission of the Ashley McLaughlin Fund is to provide funds to cover up to 35% of the cost of unforeseen veterinary medical and surgical care. Access to the fund is limited to pets owned by registered clients of Oakridge Animal Clinic who rely on pensions and other forms of fixed or limited income. The number of animals needing treatment is very great but we do our best to help where we can.
This fund was inspired by ‘Ashley’ Mc Laughlin, a beautiful cat who was a very special friend to her owners, Mr. & Mrs. Donald McLaughlin of London. Although she was gravely ill for many weeks, Ashley enjoyed a very special bond of friendship with her human ‘family’ as well as the staff here at the clinic. Mr. McLaughlin remained devoted to this special friend even while waging his own battle with a terminal illness.
The Ashley McLaughlin Trust Fund is dedicated to the priceless bond which pets and their owners enjoy.
