Fluffy’s Top 6 New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! Are you setting new priorities for 2018? The start of a new year is a great chance to ponder personal priorities, and maybe set some new goals. Actually, our feline pals may also have some resolutions for the next 12 months. Read on as a London, ON vet lists some of Fluffy’s goals for the new year.

Get More Sleep

Our furry buddies certainly seem to be quite tired. Most kitties sleep about 14 hours a day, on average, though some can sleep up to 20 hours a day. Fluffy may want to sleep even more this year than she did in 2017. Your drowsy pet may also decide to explore some new sleeping spots, or try a new position.

Work On My Pounce

Your pampered pet may never hunt anything other than a warm sleeping spot or her dinner bowl, but she’ll still be instinctively driven to mimic hunting behaviors and work on her attack skills. Fluffy may try a new pounce/jump/run combination this year.

Capture That Red Dot

That little red dot has been eluding our feline friends for quite some time now. Maybe this is the year that Fluffy will finally catch her elusive prey!

Help Out Around The House

Kitties may seem aloof, but at the end of the day, they are actually quite grateful for the good care they receive. Your thoughtful pet may try to repay your kindness by offering you a helping paw, and assisting you with household tasks like changing the sheets or wrapping gifts. Fluffy may also bravely attack any stray moths that wander in, and help keep your coffee table clear by knocking small objects off it.

Be Adorable

Cats are full of charming and amusing quirks, and have a special way of keeping us smiling with their cute antics. Your furry friend will definitely put some smiles on your face in the coming year, just by being her adorable self.

Keep Fluffy’s little motor going by paying lots of attention to her, so she feels loved and safe. Talk to your furry buddy, play with her, and offer her lots of cuddles and affection.
